Queensland Is Suffering

Last year, Queensland was hit particularly hard as figures showed that 2.6% of households in the state reported an attempted break-in or stronger security threat. The previous year, Mining site theft ranged from the disappearance of 300 kilograms of copper wire in march 2015 to the earlier theft of 340 litres of fuel at another mining site by a mine employee and several subcontractors. 

Now that the threats are coming from inside as well as outside of the company, the Chief Executive Officers are struggling to reassure shareholders, miners and construction workers that they have these security issues under control. The natural resources sector has continued to be the worst affected sector out of the three and has suffered everything from grand theft, serious assaults, vandalism and the malicious damage of property.
